Your
missions :
We are seeking a QC Technician to join our Guelph campus
team on the day shift. Hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 4:30PM.
The QC Technician executes tests in order to control
the quality of Ceva products according to the procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Right Level of Quality & Strategy
- Execute
the tests according to the procedures and the daily timeline and
investigate testing when necessary to ensure maximum results.
- Complete
the assigned CAPA, change control or any other assigned action in due
time.
- Alert
management in case of emerging trend in terms of product quality, unusual
event, etc.
- At
operator level, prepare the workstations, labware, rooms (equipment,
consumable items) to allow higher level technicians to perform tests in
adequate conditions.
- Perform
the sampling routine based on ad hoc documents.
QMS & Documentation
- Write
sampling instructions and test methods.
- Ensure
up-to-date documents are available at the workstation.
- Check and fill relevant documents related to laboratory working
conditions.
Community Building and Activation
- Sr.
technicians: Train technicians on their knowledge.
Audits & Inspections
- May
perform self-inspections.
Maintenance and Care of Birds and Bird Rooms
- Feed
and water all birds and record observations as set out
- Control
room temperature and humidity
- Replace
or clean vent filters
- Clean
and disinfect empty bird rooms
- Record
in Logbook when rooms cleaned and disinfected
- Record
daily temperature of all refrigerated units; report problems
- Order
Feed and Supplies as needed
Daily Tasks include:
- Quality
control sterility and potency testing.
- Raw
ingredient, in process and final vaccine sampling and testing.
- Quality
control activities by microscopic inspection.
- Quality
testing support for final product testing activities.
- Quality
testing support for I&D activities.
- Quality
testing support for validation activities.
- Maintaining
inventory of QC supplies and ordering of media, and other materials.
- Preparation
and sterilization of media, solutions, and materials.
- Laboratory,
test room, and equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Equipment
calibration verification.
- Environmental
sampling and testing.
- Auditing
of production activities.
- Participation
in inspections and audits as required.
- Other
QA/QC related duties as required.
Your
profile :
- You
have a post secondary education in a relevant field
- You
have a demonstrated understanding of quality control principles
- You
have a high attention to detail
- You
have laboratory experience including testing for bacteria, yeast &
mould
- You
have GMP Pharmaceutical or biologics experience
- You
have experience with PCR or similar techniques
- Ideally
you have experience working with birds or other animals
