Job Purpose/Summary:
This Position is responsible for collecting and evaluating rooster semen, evaluate and record data in a database.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Retrieval and meticulous processing of males to collect semen and inverting females to inseminate (50%)
- Replace males based on fertility numbers or mortality. Mistake check for hens and roosters. (10%)
- Inspection of females for evidence of production (10%)
- Utilize microscope/densimeter to determine semen quality; utilize visual to determine semen quantity (10%)
- Operation of Motility assay equipment and Microscope
- Evaluation of semen quality based on parameters like motility, mobility, density, color, and volume.
- Collect semen quality data using tablets, laptops, and scanners.
- Follow Cobb’s best practices for rooster management and welfare.

Experience: Previous AI experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Must be able operate tablet. Experience with Excel.
Communication Skills: Must have good communication and listening skills.
