ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Reviews and interprets vets' orders for appropriateness relevant to, to ensure that overdoses or under-doses have not been prescribed, and that interactions, incompatibilities or toxic compounds will not result from combination of medications.
Maintains up to date knowledge of the profession by participating in organization memberships; by attending meetings, lectures, in service and seminars; by reading journals; and by complying with National Standards of Continuing Education to maintain professional competency and proficiency.

COMPETENCIES (SKILLS AND ABILITIES)
Reading Comprehension – Ability to understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. Ability to comprehend basic principles, theories and laws, policies and procedures that pertain to pharmacy.
